Make your visit count

Before your tour.

The right property needs to work for the home and life you have in mind. Use these questions to prepare for a conversation about a specific homesite.

The land

Request a survey or recorded plat identifying the exact lot. Review boundaries, easements, access, slope and the proposed building area. Community illustrations and aerial photography help you explore; they do not establish survey boundaries or sale availability.

The home

Review the community’s recorded restrictions and design guidelines. Ask about your intended home size, builder, guesthouse, outbuildings and construction timing. Confirm the current architectural-review process and any applicable fees before planning work.

Ownership details

Ask for current association assessments, utility-provider information, water and wastewater details, and any connection requirements for the individual property. Confirm tax-appraisal status with the county appraisal district and request the current supporting documents.
